things about me

I remember  when I was in the  Ukraine and I was waiting for my parents to come get me from the orphanage. On March 18 my mom came to Ukraine to do the papers so I can go home. On March 20th my mom finally came to the Ukraine orphanage and I was so happy to see her and my dad came along to. In the Ukraine they only let us in the red building and no where else. But in couple of weeks they aloud us to go the the Ukrainian apartment. I don't really remember but the apartment didn't look the same as the orphanage it wasn't different for the orphanage and the apartment. I also remember when I asked mom to buy me a phone but she didn't because I all ready had a phone. Then we went to a  grocery store and i wanted so many things because i don't usually go to stores because they didn't let us in the orphanage.  I felt like i was a free men and i could do what ever I wanted but still had to stay with someone. I really like walking with my mom in the orphanage because I don't like walking with my Ukrainian friends because they alway get me into more trouble then I usually get in. The next thing I remember is when we went to visit my orphanage for the last time and when we arrived there I didn't let anyone touch my parent but my mom said "Just let them meet us",  and I said "Da".  Then we taught  my dad how to play a Ukrainian glass game he thought that game was fun but i thought it was twice as fun and double the fun he had. The only part i like about this game is you get to hit some one as hard as you can and then you go and try to go put the glass back together.  That was the only thing that was fun to do in Ukraine and soccer.
We came back to our apartment and went to bed because we were so tried and we didn't want to do anything else. The next morning I was going to make dinner for mom and I told her all the stuff I need to make grilled potato and I didn't really did it the way I thought Snizzana did.

Life

Today In my first period we played a game, because we didn't know the words to a song called For Good form Wicked. It was all right but it kind of go boring. 
In my English class we had a journal entry and then we read Phineas Gage. Then she gave us a paper and she wanted as to draw what is going on in the story. In P.E  we played fag football and that was pretty fun. We also won them. In wood shop I finished my Co2 car and we are going to lunch them on Thursday. In science we got our new seating chart and I was pretty excited because I was annoyed by the person I was sitting sitting next to. In Daisies class we were working on our Columbus work sheet and I had a partner name Hannah Erickson. In math today we finally got our homework because Mrs. Mackay wanted to make sure we new it. I was glad that she toke her time to teach us.
I am grateful that I get that much fun from school.

Will I serve for a mission

Yes, I will serve a mission because I want to tell my kids when I grow up that missions are hard but it will be  the best experience ever. I would like to go to France because I would like to learn their language, see the sites and see how they learn about The Book Of Mormon. 
But I don't really know where I am going to be sent to because the prophet will tell me where I am going. 
My thoughts about it is that it will be hard but when someone asks me, "Did you go on a mission?" I will be able to say, "Yes." That will make me feel better and I would like to be like my friends that went on a mission.
Some day when I have a wife I want to go to a prison and teach them about The Book Of Mormon because I want  finish what I started. I have five years before I have to go on a mission and I am kind of nervous because what if I do not have enough money to go? But I think I will try my best to save all the money I make to go on my mission. The most important thing is that I still believe in God and I will pray every night because I want to keep the Spirit with me.

Relationship with my Urkaine brother.

My brother from Ukraine was the only one that came to visit me in the orphanages. I thought that was very nice of him. When he didn't come to visit because no one else did, I felt lonely.
My favorite thing about Ivan is that he is nice and he  cares about me. He also came and took me to his house to stay with him for a while. But then he has to take me back. Then I have to wait a couple of months for him to come visit me again because he has job and has to work. But I don't really care because I still get to see him. My relationship with my brother is very good. One time my brother was playing Stalker and he said "Would you like to play?" and I said, "Yes." We have a lot of stuff in common. I didn't have a lot of stuff to do in his house and I didn't have friends because I only visited for a couple of weeks. One day I went over to someones house to stay there so Ivan could go to work and I played with a boy because the person I went to had a son my age.
 My relationship with my brother now is not that good because he can't talk in English and I can't talk in Ukraine. I also do not understand any word he is saying.
I am grateful that I had someone looking over me. 

When I was scared the most.

I was very scared a couple of days ago because I fell off my short board and it hurt a lot. 
When I came home I went to the bathroom very quickly because blood was dripping everywhere. My mom (later told me jokingly) that she thought I ran in their there because I got kissed by someone but I wasn't didn't, I was just to too hurt. 
After my mom and I kind of  tried to clean my wounds I went and laid down on the green chair. My mom tried it to make it like a bed (recline the chair)  and that scared me because I just wasn't thinking about what mom was doing, I was thinking about how I fell and how scary the fall was. 
Then my aunt came and checked to see if I had rocks under my skin, but I didn't. She had to cut away the dead skin. Then my aunt said, "You need to go to the sink (and run water over your hand for 15-20 minutes) and try to go to get all the dirt out of your hand.”  The dirt didn't wouldn't come off so we had to try tried to use cotton balls and but that didn't work. After that Then we tried the q tips Q-Tips and that cleaned the wound that had all the dirt in it. worked.
After I got my wounds cleaned I went back on the chair.   In a couple of minutes my mom made me a grilled cheese sandwich. I thought it tasted very good.
I am grateful that I have a mom and an aunt to help me with my broken body.

A memory

My favorite family trip.

We left on a Thursday and I was so excited. When we arrived at Puerto Plata we went to our awesome hotel and every one was nice. We got our room and got ready to go swimming.

We went down to the ocean to swim. The ocean was nice, it wasn't cold, it was perfect. When we were done swimming we went to lunch at the Casablanca Restaurant. It was pretty good but after we went to it all the time I started not liking it.

The next morning we went to this water aerobics class where you exercise in the pool. Then I went swimming after the lesson.

After swimming in the swimming pool we went and got boogie boards for the ocean.

I didn't understand how to use it so my dad told me a secret. He said, "Watch me and I said, "Ok". He showed me how to ride it. After he taught me I said, "Thanks".

Then we went and took a shower for dinner. We ate at the same place as lunch.

Here are some things I like about their restaurant.

The next morning my mom went to get reservations for a restaurant. My mom tried to get reservation to the Blue Lagoon Restaurant. But this mean lady said that there was no more reservations. So my mom got a different reservation. We thought we would try any way. The restaurant person said that they don't have room for us. We went to a different restaurant but the restaurant we went to didn't need reservations. My mom said that this was the wrong place but all of us liked it. After dinner we went to walk on the beach, after that we went to bed.

In the morning we went to get breakfast. That night there was a party that they do every Sunday. It was a dance party and a lot of people came from different hotels. We left the party when they were playing a bad song. We went walking on the beach again. Then we went to bed. The next morning we went swimming in the ocean and we had a race. When we were done dad gave me a high five. Then my scab from my long board fall, stared to bleed, so I went with my mom to get it bandaged.

The next morning we went to hike 27 Water Falls. When we arrived at our first water fall, we had to jump. The water falls were awesome; all of us liked it and wanted to go again. The next one was pretty high. After we went through some water falls we arrived at a pretty high one and it was scary but it was worth it. The next one was high and I didn't want to jump it. The rest of them were slides.

When we have a vacation again I say we should go there again.

The next morning we went home.

What job would you olike to try.

I would like to go to to a factory where they make all the juices for lunches. I have seen a video but it would be cool to go and see it myself. I kind of like to go work in a factory and see if its the right job for me and if not then I would go and try to find a different job. I think it would be easy to work in a factory because I you do is stand there and watch the machine in case it messes up.
I mite do that when I am eighteen and go check out the factory and see if how they make the juice and see if they are telling the truth.
Someday I would get 6 apples and make them into a juice and then I will take the juice that is made in the factory and try to see if they both taste the same. If it doesn't taste the same then I was right if it does then I was wrong.
Why do want to go to the juice factory? Because I want to tastes all the juices,  see how they make it and try to make my own. I doubt that I would make my own because I don't really drink a lot of juice.

Holidays in Ukrain vs America

Christmas is January 7^th in Ukraine. We have Father Christmas. When I was at the baby orphanage we set up a Christmas tree on Christmas day and watched The Lion King movie. We ate Top Raman – and that was special because we normally never had that. We also had some candy.

When I was eight and in the older orphanage, we went to see a Christmas play during Christmas time and we were given boxes of candy. The teachers took them from us to give them to us later but we didn’t obey so we never got our boxes of candy.
We also went caroling and people gave us money but the teachers kept it.

On Christmas Eve we got together in the TV room and had fruit. We had apples grapes and oranges. Then we watched a movie called Leprechaun. It was rated R and pretty scary. In the morning we woke up and there was candy under our pillows.

I only had one Christmas in the orphanage when I was eight. The other Christmas’s I went to my brother Ivan’s house.

In Ukraine for Easter we had Paska boiled eggs and then my brother Ivan Ukraine came and me colored Easter eggs and a Paska of my own.
We do not have Halloween and I never knew about Halloween until I came to America. I think it’s dumb we don’t trick or treat in Ukraine and it made me mad.

When I had my birthday in the orphanage they did nothing. Sometimes my brother would take me out for my birthday.

In America we set up our tree after Thanksgiving. We draw names with my siblings and my cousins and we buy presents for them.

My mom helps us find presents for each other.

One night during December we watch The Christmas Story and eat Chinese food.

On Christmas Eve make sugar cookies for Santa, eat a big dinner and we do a play about Jesus.

We also open our cousin presents and we get new PJ’s from mom and dad.

On Christmas Day we wake up in the morning and open presents.  We have a scavenger hunt to find our big present and we also try to find our stockings.

We have mini quiche and sticky buns for breakfast and then take pictures of all of our presents.

Then we go visit our grandma and get presents from her and grandpa.  
On our birthdays we go and eat out sometimes and then our mom makes us wait to open our presents. That’s fine but is so tempting and you just want to ask your mom if you can open just one and she doesn't let us because she wants it to be a surprise.

I am grateful that my brother Ivan took time and went to the orphanage and took me to his house to celebrate Christmas and eat dinner.

I am grateful that my mom plans all the awesome scavenger hunts and gives us lovely presents. We give her presents too.

My first few days in America.

We had a very long flight from  Ukraine and it was tiring. When we got home the first thing I did was go to bed and get some sleep. The next day my mom told me all the rules and that was very boring. After that I tried to go find some thing to do and the first thing that came to my mind is going down stairs and playing  Xbox. I didn't understand how to do the family chores and that kind of made me crazy.
Then when I was done playing Xbox I went upstairs to make paper airplanes and that was kind of fun. Every time some one talked in my family I didn't understand what they were saying. The only words I understood was hi,bye and thanks. "The next day I woke up and went down to eat breakfast at 7am because the other kids had school and I didn't. The next week I started school.  I didn't like school because I always wanted to be home and with my mom because school was very boring.
This year school is hard. I have a crazy this science teacher that makes up weird words and says that 30 degrees is  nice.  
I am grateful that I understand my family.

When did I learn to pray.

The first time I learned to pray is in the Ukraine. How I learned to pray is from the teachers that come to visit and teach us about the The Bible. The next time they came they showed us how to pray. The first thing I learned is you get on your nee's,  fold your arms and pray. When I came into the United States my mom went and ask the missionaries to come tell me what the Book Of Mormon is really about. Then they told me you can get baptized when ever I was ready and a couple of months later the missionaries said you can get sealed to your family and I wonder what sealing meant and they told me about it. A couple of weeks I got sealed to my family so that means that they are my family for ever and ever.
When I came to America I already new how to pray. I new for myself that God does listen to my prayers because I would not be here right now if I didn't say a pray.
There was one time I couldn't find my phone and I prayed to God and he said to me think about what you did a couple a minutes before. So I found my phone and it was between the couches.

What are the difference between my birth mom and my mom now.

Well, my birth mom didn't care about me and didn't take care of me and my mom now does all those things.
I didn't get a lot of attention for my birth mom and my real mom now gives me a lot of attention and I really like that a lot.
My birth mom made me steal food but now my real mom doesn't do that and I am glad. But there is one thing that my birth mom did for me she got me a dog and it was my best friend because my mom didn't let me go play with anyone. My birth mom gave me up and I am glad because I would not be with my real mom right now.
I am also grateful that my mom didn't look for me but I would like to me her. Now I am with a cool mom. My birth mom didn't sit down with me and study and pay for me to go to school. My birth mom didn't make very good food and it tasted very very bad so I gave it to my dog. My dog was happy when I gave him the food.
Its awesome to have a real family because care about you and they don't make me do bad things.

What is it like to have a dad.

It's awesome to have a dad to hang with you. But, that only happens if he has free time. Sometimes my dad has free time and we ride motorcycles around. Other times my dad and I work together on projects. My most favorite thing to do with my dad is ride motorcycles.
I like helping my dad a lot. Sometimes I don't help - I just watch -  but sometimes I help. My next favorite thing to do with my dad is go camping. It's so much fun. I like camping because I like to be in the wilderness.
What we like to do when we go camping is fish.  It's fun to fish but when you get up at 3 o'clock in the morning you get so tired and cold that you don't want to fish anymore.
My dad and I went fishing a couple of weeks ago at 3am. I was so tired and cold that I just wanted to go inside the car and stay there.
Another cool thing it my dad let me drive the Metro before we sold it. It was a lot of fun. I liked the Metro but now belongs to a family that needs it.
It is awesome to have a dad that spends time with you.
I am grateful to have a dad that does all those thing with me because some dads don't play with their kids.

About my friends

My friends are fun to be with. They like to do what I like to do and it's fun. My best friend is Tyler because  he was the first friend I met when I came to America. We have been friends for 3 1/2 years.
I like a friend that listens and likes to do what I like to do. We have fun when we have the same interest.
I think I am a good friend I do what ever my friends want to do and we get a long great. What I need to do  better is to listen to them and if I do that we would have a great time.
This is Alex's mom. To me a friend is someone that sticks with you through thick and thin. Someone that you can talk to about anything and that will keep a secret. So many friends are only your friend when there is something fun to do but a true friend is a friend that will still be a round when things are tough. They  will tell you when you're wrong and be able to tell you in a way that won't make you angry but make you a better person.
This is Alex now. A friend is someone who you think your live would be different if they didn't exist.
A friend is  someone that never  leaves you out. A friend is who always includes you when you are with them.
A friend  keeps secrets for you and never tells them. A friend is always there for you when you are feeling very bad. I have a cousin friend and he cares about me and I do to. Brach always includes me and I like that a lot. Brach always doesn't live me out and I really like that. Same with my friend Tyler.

Memory

It's hard to have no parents because there is no one that is watching over you, taking care of you or reading you stories every night.
Now I have parents that do just that, but they don't really read stories to me all the time because I am 14 years old. In fact, I read scripture stories to them to help my reading and pronunciation.

My favorite fruit and candy.

My favorite fruit:
1. Cherries because they taste very good to me. Some people don't like cherries.
2. Grapes because some grapes taste different. The grapes I like are green ones and purple ones.
3. Oranges because oranges give you vitamin C and vitamin C is good for you.
4. Apples because some apples are sweet and some are sour. The apples I like best are the sour ones.
5. Blue berries because they have a of taste that I can't describe.
6. Raspberries are my most favorite fruit because they have the most sweet and yummy taste.
My favorite candy:
1. 3 Musketeers because they have chocolate on top and nougat  in the middle.
2. Butter Fingers because it has chocolate on the top and hard hard peanut butter in the  middle
3. Hershey because they taste very good with smorsh 
4. Heath because she likes and I like it now to.

Ukraine memory

I remember when I was still in Ukraine and there was a kid that threw a piece of glass at my leg and I still have a scar on my leg form it. I was 8 years old when that happened and the only thing I did was kick the glass and it rolled to kid he threw it at me! Then you had to go to  the doctors office to see if they could do anything about it. It really didn't hurt much.
The doctors said I'd be ok but the bad part the worst part about was he dabbed alcohol on my leg. It's to kill any infection. But it hurt like heck.When I came back it was time for naps because thats what they do in Ukraine. I hated going to bed at that time because it was so early but sometimes it is good sleep. If we didn't want to go to bed could draw or work on  homework till four o'clock. Our lunch was at 11.
At four o'clock it is time for dinner and after dinner we have a meeting withe the church people to teach us about God. It is kind of hard to remember everyones name. I have forgotten so many names since coming home. I might go back to Ukraine and see some people when I get my Eagle project approved. For my project I am going to see if people are willing to donate markets,pencils and backpacks. Before I ask people I am going to ask Walmart and Target to donate some supplies.
This was all my moms idea and I am going to go with it.

I accidentally kicked the bottle and it rolled to the kid and he picked it up and threw it at me! The bottle broke and a piece of glass was stuck in my leg. I had to go to the doctor’s office to see if they could get it out. It was a small piece of glass and the doctor pulled it out. It didn’t hurt very much.
The doctors said I'd be ok. The worst part was he dabbed alcohol on my leg, to kill any infection. It hurt like heck!

if i was 10 feet tall.

If I was 10 feet tall my life would we weird. Here are somethings I would not be able to do if I was 20 feet tall.
1. I would not be able to go to stores because the doors are to small.
2. I would not  be able to ride in a car because the cars are to small.
3. I would not be able to have clothes unless I  make clothes my size.
4. I would not have a house because I am too tall and I would have to have a special house.
5. I would not have any kids because no one is my size.
6. I would not be able to ride bikes because they are small.
7. I would have to pay more money for everything I get because  I am much taller then others.
8. I would have to pay more money for bigger clothes.
9. I would not be able to have a wife because there is no one that is the same height as me.
10. I would have  a bad time at work because I am  too  tall for the job.
12. I would have to have special money to pay my bills because the money is too small.
But the good thing is I will win the record of being the tallest person.

My dads motorcycle training.

Yesterday, I was riding my motorcycle. My dad stopped me to tell me some  important things about motorcycle safety that  I need to know for the rest of my life. The next thing he wanted me to do was to learn how to use the emergency break on the motorcycle.  Basically, to use  the emergency break  you push the front and the back break on at the same time. After I tried the emergency break 5 times my dad said, "I am going to have a surprise for you in a little bit." I knew  he was going to jump out and surprise but I didn't know when. After I rode for a little while dad ran out from behind the trailer right in front of the motorcycle. You know the emergency brake? The one my dad taught me to use? Well I used it.
After a while I got bored driving the motorcycle so I went inside and got a drink and called Tyler to see if he could hang out, he said, "Yes." We got our longboards and went long boarding around. When I grow up I am going to get a motorcycle license. I am grateful that my dad teaches me the safety rules about motorcycles.

Scout Camp

I went camping with my scout group at Camp New Fork I thought over all the camp was a lot of fun. Some parts I didn't like about that came it was singing. I don't really like singing but there was one song that I really liked it was Bazooka Bubble gum.
The most stupid part of Camp New Fork was that you could not  have camp fires.
Our day goes like this.
We go get our breakfast, cook it and after that we  go to a morning flag ceremony, that's where they singing to us. After the flag ceremony we went to our merit badge classes and try to pass them of. The only merit badge I didn't like was archery. It was fun but it was hard at the same time. After our classes we get free time and free time is where you get to do what ever you want.
After free time we go to another flag ceremony and then after that we eat dinner.
On Thursday we went on a hike and it was a nice hike until we got stung by hornets. That was painful.
On Friday my dad and I went kyaking and it was a lot of fun. Also on Friday we had a relay. Someone swam, someone canoed, someone lit a match and ran we came in fourth out of Sixtine teams
On Saturday we packed up camp and went home.
When we got home it was my birthday and I couldn't wait to open presents but I had to wait until  after dinner. After dinner we opened presents.
My present list:
Boxing gloves. (2pair)
Camping stove.
Clothes. (2 pant and 3 shirts)
Belt.
Binder.
Shoes. (2 pair)
Then I boxed with my dad and that was a lot of fun
After boxing we went to go see the Dark Night Rises.
Over all I thought my birthday was great and I really liked camp.
